Several members of Onondaga's national champion men's lacrosse team have been named All-Americans by the National Junior College Athletic Association. Sophomores
Tim Barber (West Genesee),
Vaughn Harris (Haggersville),
Kenny Tomeno (Webster Thomas), and
Warren Hill (Hill Academy), along with freshmen
Tyson Bell (Everest Academy) and
Oakley Thomas (Salmon River) have been named 1st Team All-Americans. Sophomnore
Logan Thomas (Liverpool) was named to the 2nd Team.
Four of the 1st Team selections were also named the best at their respective positions. Barber was selected as the Attackman of the Year, Harris was the Midfielder of the Year, Bell was the Defenseman of the Year, and Hill was the Goalie of the Year.
The Lazers completed a perfect 17-0 season with a 12-7 victory over Nassau Community College in the NJCAA National Championship Game on Sunday afternoon. The championship was Onondaga's 6th consecutive, and 8th in the last 9 seasons. The Lazers also currently own an 87-game winning streak.
